Olympic Village
This master planned community was originally conceived as part of Vancouver’s preparations to host the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. True to its name, the community served as Vancouver's main accommodation of international athletes and sport officials. After the glow of the Games faded, the community continued to focus on being a walkable, green, family-friendly neighbourhood with the addition of new residential buildings and community amenities. Cafes, eateries and the CRAFT Beer Market saturate the gourmet streetside retail district while green spaces like Hinge Park and the scenic False Creek seawall inspire people to enjoy the outdoors. Getting to and from Olympic Village can be done easily via the nearby SkyTrain station connecting the neighbourhood to Downtown or even as far away as the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.
